In the event of an accident, illness, or any unforeseen situation during your trip, the beneficiary must contact United Travel Assist immediately before seeking medical attention at a medical centre, clinic, hospital, or from a healthcare professional. Our international medical assistance service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, supported by technology, international coordination centres, and specialised personnel. Prior communication with our Assistance Centre is mandatory to ensure correct medical coordination, proper event management, and the validity of coverage in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of the service. Before contacting us, please have the following ready: For prompt and efficient service, the beneficiary should have the following information to hand when contacting United Travel Assist:
  • Voucher or assistance certificate number
  • Personal identification document (Passport/ID)
  • Country, city, and current location
  • Active contact number in the destination country

Correct Use of Service – Important Information

United Travel Assist does not recommend or authorise self-assistance, self-medication, or the direct procurement of medical services without prior coordination, evaluation, and authorisation from its Assistance Centre.

All medical care must be evaluated and coordinated by our medical and operational team, with the aim of ensuring appropriate care, monitoring the service provided, and guaranteeing the correct application of coverage.

Failure to provide prior notification may result in the event being deemed outside of coverage, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of the service.

In cases of accidents, medical emergencies, or unforeseen situations where, due to force majeure, immediate contact with United Travel Assist was not possible, the beneficiary must report the event within a maximum period of twenty-four (24) hours following the occurrence or medical discharge. The event will be recorded and evaluated in accordance with the current General Terms and Conditions.

In life-threatening medical emergencies that objectively prevent immediate contact with our Assistance Centre, the passenger may receive direct medical care.

Such situations must be notified mandatorily within the following 24 hours for proper recording, oversight, and analysis.
